Kiddie Academy of Powell

A wonderful daycare. The teachers are loving and take really great care of our son. The owner treats his employees wonderfully which allows them to stay happy.

Kiddie Academy of Powell goes above and beyond in every single meaning of the phrase. The educational support, the social support, and the emotional support that they provide both my children and myself is enormous. I never imagined being so comfortable and confident when I drop my children off at preschool. I have three children that are in preschool with Kiddie Academy, so we have experience with multiple teachers and classrooms. Every single person I’ve met there has been phenomenal. Another layer for me when initially searching for schools was that my oldest has some extra needs. I expressed concern about the developmental delays and whether my child was appropriate for their environment. The staff were more than open to exploring and we enrolled him after discussing it a bit more and introducing everyone. I am so thankful as son is thriving in the environment in every way. Beyond grateful for the compassionate, intelligent, and well-equipped staff at kiddie academy Powell, but especially the director. I have never met a more selfless, real, and kind person. They are lucky to have her, and we are too 💙. For those thinking of sending their kids, I will list some of the additional reasons that I decided this was our school - CAMERAS. I love being able to check in on my kids and see how they’re doing. I trust the teachers at Kiddie Academy to the fullest extent, but it does provide peace of mind. - EDUCATION. The class rooms and lessons are perfectly set up for my children and their growing minds. - ACCEPTANCE. Having a child that is developmentally delayed comes with its own challenges. Without hesitation, Kiddie Academy was ready and willing to help support my child. Once they were able to establish that they had that means to care for him, they opened their arms to my family. My son has made gigantic strides every single day and is becoming a more confident and capable boy. - FLEXIBILITY. Every single time I have asked for help or a change in schedule or some sort of assistance. Kiddie Academy has done what they can to accommodate. As a single parent, this is life saving! - WORTH THE COST. I have no cons besides the fact that in 2023 and it cost a kidney to send your kid to any prek, but that is not unique to Kiddie Academy. For those who are considering preschools, this is a good deal and my money is well spent. They get fed and cared for better than they do at home!!! They have been very accommodating when I have needed adjustments within the scope of the prek contract. To anyone seeking childcare, this is the gold standard. I would recommend Kiddie Academy to any parent looking for not only care for their child, but a community for them to grow. To our friends at Kiddie Academy, keep up the good work! We are so proud and forever thankful for the opportunity to be a part of the Kiddie Academy community.

My Daughter has had the best experience in Kiddie Academy's Summer Camp program. Ms. Mckayla goes above and beyond with the senior campers, each week is a different theme with crafts, stories and videos associated with the topic. The nutrition program is on point and the outings planned are adventurous and fun! What camper comes home and says they've been to a cooking class or got to go to the Indiana Caverns? I am greeted every day with a warm welcome, and the communication never lacks. I love Kiddie Academy, this will be our last daycare! The owner and teachers are wonderful and help a single mom feel at ease to provide consistency for my little girl. Thank you KA for such a great experience

The Director is extremely rude and unprofessional. My daughter has been home with us for her entire 2 1/2 years. This was our first childcare service. I had a harder time leaving her on her first day than I expected. When I called to Inquire about the status of access to the cameras I was told by the dictator, "She has a lot more much important things to deal with" it's really disgusting to say that to a mom on her first day away from her 2 year. The director took more than 2 hours to grant my access with my husband also calling to request access. After the first day I was mortified & not comfortable with sending my daughter & tried to have a conversation with the Director & the conversation didn't leave me feeling any better. We continued to send our daughter hoping things would be fine.Things was never just fine. It's a ton rotating teachers throughout the toddlers classroom. You never really know who her teacher is or who to talk to. One day we picked our 2 year old up & her face was disgustingly dirty. It was also a lot of other "little things" If you are in the position of running a childcare center empathy, understanding, patients, professionalism, caring, & kindness should be held by the Director.

After 3 & 1/2 years of staying home with my baby I recently decided to go back to work. We found a daycare very close to home, however they were not prepared to handle a child who had never been in a daycare environment before and, long story short, they claimed our child had developmental delays and we were invited to leave…pretty traumatic for all of us. Kiddie Academy was recommended by a close friend who’s 3 children have been enrolled there for several years. When I spoke with the Dir. she was so open and real. She allowed me to communicate everything I needed to before addressing my concerns and walking me through their process of introducing a new child to their daycare. It was wonderful. My child is now thriving at Kiddie Academy and we are so appreciative. The teachers are kind and loving to all the kids and they learn so much. This was the kind of experience we were hoping for the first time around, and we are very grateful we found them.
